Entry details
The 2017 NSW Homebrewing Competition will be judged on the 9th and 10th September. The competition has been registered with the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) and will use the AABC Guidelines for beers, meads and ciders (see aabc.org.au).

Entries must be received by

•    Saturday 26th August at listed brew shops (see below or schedule page)


OR


•    Saturday 26th August by post to The Brew Shop


OR


•    Sunday 3rd September 12 – 2pm directly to Wayward Brewing

Entry fees
$7.00 per entry.

Entry Requirements
•    Entrants must be residents of NSW to win prizes or to qualify for the national competition.

•    Entrants MUST complete an electronic entry form - click here

•    Entrants MUST complete a paper entry form and submit with beers on entry (click link for copy).
•    Each entry will consist of 1 bottle of a minimum of 500 ml (or two 375 ml containers).
•    A maximum of 2 entries per category, with no more than 1 entry in each style.
•    All styles of bottle will be accepted, however, the organiser will not accept responsibility for any light strike, resulting from packaging in clear glass or plastic. Organisers will not accept responsibility for any entries entered in the wrong category, although feedback will still be given.
•    Bottles will not be returned at completion of judging.
•    The competition is restricted to amateur brews. This refers to beers that have not been brewed on premises licensed as a commercial brewery. Beers produced from extract kits and wort kits and Brew-On-Premises beers are allowed as they not considered to be commercially brewed. Entries must be submitted under the brewer's name(s).
•    If specialty beers, meads and ciders do not have further details, the judges may not be able to give full comments or scores on the beers (though all attempts to judge these entries will be made) For specialty beers please include the base style if there is one, plus other information that you think would aid judges such as brewer’s intention, use of unusual ingredients or methods. This information should be added to the online entry form or as an additional page attached to the entry form.



Judges Decisions
The judges’ decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding such decisions. Inner Sydney Brewers will not be responsible for any loss or damage to entries or loss or damage suffered by any person as a result of entering the competition.
The organising judge reserves the right to alter the competition conditions and rules without notice if deemed to be in the best interests of the competition.

 

Deadline for entries to homebrew shops listed below is Saturday 26th August.

Postal entries should arrive be sent to The Brew Shop, Peakhurst to arrive before Saturday 26th August.

Beers can be dropped off at Wayward Brewing on Sunday 3rd September 12-2.
